About the practice
Dr. Haas had a vision for her private practice: to deliver high quality assessment services with the passion and attention to detail that she brings to her professorship and research. She believes that assessment is the key to unlocking true psychological healing. Testing helps clarify diagnoses, identify client strengths, and use information to facilitate treatment planning, monitor therapeutic process, and/or help clients get much-needed accommodations at school or work.
Olive Tree is a boutique practice, working with less than five clients at a time. This allows us to give individual attention to you, and deliver results as quickly as possible. In most cases, clients get results, including psychological reports, within one week.
Right now, all clinical services at Olive Tree Psychological Associates are provided by Dr. Amie Haas. It is her hope clients will see the value in what Olive Tree provides and that the practice will grow. Check us out from time-to-time as we add new clinicians who share Amie's passion for assessment.
About Amie Haas, PhD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 35742) and owner of Olive Tree Psychological Associates. I bring over two decades of experience to this clinical practice. In my “day job” I am a professor. I teach assessment and diagnosis to aspiring clinical psychologists and direct a research lab studying substance misuse in youth. I have over 40 peer-reviewed publications, 200 presentations at national conferences, and trained literally thousands of aspiring clinical psychologists in my classes.
As a clinician, my area of expertise is testing and assessment. I have been privileged to provide clinical services to a diverse clientele over the years. This includes diagnostic and accommodation testing with kids and adults, concussion evaluations for the National Hockey League, neuropsychological examinations for patients undergoing bone marrow replacement treatment, personality assessments, IQ tests, and dementia evaluations with older adults. It is with enthusiasm and humility that I bring this experience to my own practice.
Outside of work, I am a proud mom of two kids, one who lives with a chronic health condition. Both of my children are athletes and my time outside of work has been dedicated to supporting their dreams and passions. Being a mom has given me a different perspective on my professional life and clinical service delivery, especially when working with youth and young adults.
Now that my family is older, I am excited to start Olive Tree Psychological Associates and apply the considerable experience and expertise I have amassed over the years to providing the very best assessment services to my clients.
